The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences invites applicants for a full-time, tenure -track faulty appointments to begin in Spring 2015. Candidates should be broadly trained in the area of Criminal Justice with specialization in Corrections, Probation and Parole, and/or law enforcement. Applicants must be prepared to teach upper division courses in corrections and law enforcement as well as foundation courses in Criminal Justice Administration. Teaching load is 4 courses per semester.Review of Applications will begin October 15, 2014. Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred but other candidates with demonstrated experience in higher education or at least five (5) years’ professional experience in Criminal Justice or Public Administration in the Criminal Justice will be considered. Applicants with a Juris Doctorate will also meet the Ph.D./ABD requirement. – The successful candidate should demonstrate through education and experience:
- Potential for teaching excellence at an open enrollment and culturally diverse institution;
- Commitment to undergraduate education.
- Prior teaching experience (to adults learners)
