Description

This position supports a grant funded project designed to engage both academic and community members in order to identify and provide resources and services to families with children with disabilities in the Hampton Roads Area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer the phones and take messages regarding the program
  • Maintain and order supplies for the project
  • Prepare and follow up on all requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Retrieve/Receive checks for pick up on purchase orders for vendors/artist/clients
  • Maintain grant records
  • Schedule group meetings including reserving room, phone lines and sending notifications to participants
  • Assist with the daily clerical needs
  • Record all meetings and directed organizational meetings
  • Update and maintain files and information pertaining to faculty, staff and participants of all project partners
  • Coordinate scheduled events-Reservation confirmation correspondence
  • Carry out various duties upon the request of the grant PI
  • Schedule  events including meetings, training sessions and outreach
  • Assist in document revision, modification and distribution of documents and files related to the program
  • Help develop and materials and resources to assist reporting
  • Coordinate families at resource centers and maintain the reception area

Requirements

  • Interest in health care
  • Bachelors degree
  • Demonstrated strong communication oral and written skills
  • Strong experience in Microsoft office suite and internet searches
