Law Enforcement Leadership training, weapons, radar, and baton certifications. Valid driver’s license.|

|Posting Summary||The University Police Department takes the lead in providing a safe environment for the university community by protecting life and property by deterring and detecting crime, reporting fires and safety hazards and controlling traffic on campus. The Chief of Police reports directly to the Vice President of Auxiliary Services. This position serves as the senior law enforcement officer for PVAMU and supervises, plans, directs, coordinates and implements departmental goals, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with all departmental units to ensure the safety and welfare of all students, faculty, staff and visitors associated with the University through crime prevention, work with local law enforcement agencies and lead community police efforts.|
